SIblings' Vacation

Assalamualaikum. 

Since i have a lot of free time before my repeat class starts again. I would like to babble about my trip during this pandemic to a place that is still in Malaysia. YUPPPP brave enough i tot we were the lastest batch before the covid cases rises to 800+ i know, i know, i know we were risking our lives as if we are affecting the case and TRUST me i was sooooo afraid to because we tot that MCO will start all over again.

I am not to blame my sister but she bought the tickets and this happens two times to me since our flight for this year got canceled too to Sabah (?) i think because firstly she just knew she got something on the dates and also something happened to the people that were supposed to be on the trip too.

Regardless of that, we were also abouttt to cancel this trip again when the cases reached more than 300 but was not really affecting the area where we are planning to go. We decided to proceed since the ticket was already purchased and there is no other time that we thought was suitable. So, here we are on early October, we took a flight to Pulau Langkawi!!!! huhuhu it have been 5 years? since we when. which was after we got back from Saudi Arabia. So, yeah i basically didnt even remember much except the eagle, the cable car and all. So yeah, i guess i got the second chance. 

Above that, the sidenote that makes it a little no fun was i was already starting my online class (before the result was out) and yeap i had to off the camera even do the requirement was to on your camera huhuh. but i manage to rewatch all of the recorded class alhamdulillah. Sooooo, it's not just because of me i had to cancel the trip aite soooo let's start with our journey.

P.S. I didnt get time to blog about my trip last year!!! if i have time InshaAllah i will put that forward in this blog soon. 

DAY 1: CABLE CAR & SHOPPING

        Righttt after i ended my second class we all when to Senai Airport for boarding at 2.05. We reached around 3.30 and we decided to check in our hotel and go for the sky bridge. By the time we reached the place, we actually had to ride the cable care for the sky bridge. The time was already 5.30 and it is about to close at 6 but we just tried our luck. 

      The last time we went there, there was only cable car and no sky bridge whatsoever so yep we just went for it. Unluckily, the guard didnt allow us in because it was past 5.30 and they are about to close the area. Well, i guess we got to ride again when actually it was not our plan at first. So, we just when back to our hotel and just ate at the nearby area. I wanted to taste some seafood around Langkawi but it turns out to be so far from our hotel so we just stop and it some fried rice from the place we decided to go. The place was not really bad except it was a little bit salty but they got some Wifi lol

        We took the remaining hours that night to go shopping and what no be the most known place the Haji Ismail Shopping Centre for its crockery, glassware, and chocolates!!!! So yeahhh, we took everything we want. I tot it was under 100 so i took all kind chocolate just to give to idk who lol. Surprisingly when we reach the counter, the total was almost rm300 xD hahahshah reaching the limit for our shopping expense individually huhu. 

DAY 2: MANGROVE TOUR

To be honest, i have been arguing with my sister for this plan because maybe i tot it was just boat riding all but okay i could tolerate with it. We went out at 9 something so that we could reach by 10. Oh btw, we rent a car which we picked up at the airport and it would be easier to go anywhere. So this place we have to go to Kilim Geopark Forest which is like a the tip of this island. 

The first stop we went to the Bats Cave which i was pretty isolated and there was maintenance or something that we couldnt walk further on the bridge. But anyways say hi bats! and that time all these monkeys are already being seen and to mention, the whole trip we have this additional member to entertain us every now and even the next day hshshs.

The next stop was a little bit further for eagle feedings and also more boat ride to Tanjung Rhu, a replica of Kingkong mountains, Dayang Bunting and etc, we also took some pictures at Crocodile Lake (which was used to be crocodile living there but not anymore uhuhuh) and at Kilim (sideboard and all) and yessssss also a place where monkeys lived! I swear they were swimming to our boat in search of food. they literally swim to our boat. we were given some peanuts to feed them but yup they are monkeys xD sooo they are like gathering all they can hahaha. This is the closest of me to encounter with monkey and literally give them some food! 

To some of that for the morning until noon is that we got free lunch of fried rice. we decided not to order any additional seafood and just finish them quickly because we got another plan which is for Skytrex. Suddenly, we were asked if we can eat lobster and what flavor we want. i was like.....hshshsh i said that i eat them and 15 min later, a plate came with a chili lobster MashaAllah rezeki! hehehehe actually i didnt even know how to eat them but i just eat seafood so i just said that i eat them. Alhamdulillah we just ate them and actually we felt a little bit guilty not to pay for it. 

It was another passenger in both. They were just some young couples. we weren't that kind to them tbh huhu we just helped them take some photos during the trip and yeah huhu

We left a lil bit late from the trip because we were waiting for the couples to chill lol. So yeah, our next plan was to go for the Skytrex. It has passed 3 because that was the time for the trip to start but since we were the first 'customer' so we got to go for all these obstacles and chicken exit and some flying fox (inner active part scream) huhu. By afternoon, we already on our way back to our hotel. Oh, another part you want to know is i stayed at Best Star Hotel. It wasn't bad for a 3-night stay. Everything is just around the corner, the malls, someplace for breakfast and also, the Pantai Chenang was just at the back of us. Right after we were back from skytrex, we walked on the beach and suddenly we decided to play one of the water sport which was the banana boat. lol idk how many time I've been on banana boat but it kinda really fun riding the hotdog huhu and so we spent the evening with the sea. 

DAY 3: ISLAND HOPPING

        So, again this was not in our itinerary to go for island hopping since that we have dont it before and we were actually planning for a snorkeling but it turns out because of covid not many people come to island and so they only do it on friday and weekend. Our day three was on wednesday so we didnt get to go. We got another last-minute plan which i have researched about it which is for the extreme park for atv ride, skybike, and also a kart ride majorly. So the night before we had stopped by a tourist booth and ask for the ticket for the extreme park which was really affordable since they gave a 'covid' price lol. Alhamdulillah ! Afterward, they not really persuade but just offered us for island hopping because we didn;t know what else to do for the remaining day. So, we agreed 

        In the morning, we were picked up from our hotel to the Jetty for our trip. This time it's really another island. What I know previously, we will go for 3 Island which is Tasek Dayang Bunting (where you literally see this before you reach there which is on the middle of the sea, the boat driver will stop and show you how the island looks like a pregnant mother laying), and the Pulau Basah Island and one more not really an island but watching eagle feeding (again)

Each of the stops was given 45-1 hour to spend. An early warning if u ever go for island hopping here do not bring any begs to trust me you don't want to be chased by monkeys. I have been terrified by these monkeys because a monkey just jumped on the back of me trying to open my bag. My scream was spontaneous where it was. I know I was in the middle of the jungle but I'm not gonna lose any my valuable things in the bag.  and that's was also the reason I was screaming my lungs out lol. I had bickering with my sister because she was angry I was screaming in the middle of the jungle huhu we just carry on quickly. 

At the lake, we went for kayaking, some boat paddling and a lil dipping in the lake. Actually, it was a lil dangerous because as you should have known about the lake are deep and you don't know what is underneath the water. it is really deeeep. huhu

On Beras Basah Island, it was really eye-catching view with sand and pure blue seawater. We spent time a lil for snorkeling even though it wasn't much to see. We fed some bread to the fish so that we could see them. It wasn't bad to spend chilling. 

We were planning to go to the extreme park right after we got back from the island hopping but it turns up the weather wasn't that good. So we decided not to for it but change our plan for indoor activities which was to Underwater World. Oh for the food, we didn't really find any good restaurant even though there are a lot of restaurant around our hotel but we end up eating McD lol.

DAY 4: EXTREME PARK + HOME

The last day we check out of the hotel because there were some plans that we haven't got done since the day before was raining until night and even after we had our dinner, we were stuck at the restaurant because of the heavy rain. We checked out about 9 but the rain was still pouring so we decided to go slow with our plan. The morning we decided to go breakfast at Pak Malau Nasi Dagang. The view and the food was great combo. you will be eating by the view of paddy field. Some kampung vibe right huhu but yeah not bad and the food is affordable and match the taste. Pak Malau was the one who is the cashier so some people would be talking and taking autograph of him maybe because he was famous? Right after that, we directly go to the Extreme Park where  I was already excited.

    It'll be my first time riding ATV. Unfortunately, the rain start gushing again by the time we finish our skybike and we were riding the gokart in the rainnnn. 

I was already soaking wet when we finish playing. the gokart was a little bit old as they use idk what version the engine was but my brother and my sister's go kart been stopping every now and then maybe because the water got into it or something. Above all it was okay and alright. 

While we wait for our turn to ride the go kart, we stopped by the upside down house. Yup pretty much everything was upside down. There was a photographer that helped take our pictures since the lighting in the room wasn't so good (at the end you have to pay if you want to take the picture from them)

The ATV ride was EPIC. hahaha even though I think we didnt go for the whole track but it was really satisfying. For this ATV the gear was already auto so we don't really have to control much except the position of where we wanna go left or right. We really need to have a good grip on the handle since like me I'm too weak (lol) to control with just a single hand like bicycle because it might go elsewhere. Above all since the rain had really slowed down our plans we manage to reach the airport 1.30 hours before boarding. lol last minutes huh? 

We got time to take a shower (this wasn't even on plan but we got it ready in case anything happen since it was an EXTREME park) so yeah there we go we touchdown around 5 and our dad pick us up since our home is just 7-10 minutes from the Senai Airport.

Above all, this trip was none like others i mean financially i guess. it really do create a stronger bond since i never really imagine travelling with my brother because he is quite picky and chosy and also when it comes to food? I really had a lot of misunderstanding with my sister and she does too. I dunno how it happens but it always does which sometimes I'm too sick to even go with it or sometimes I'll just pass it. It was really a good experience and i do like the way it have been that sometime there always lessons to be learned not on the trip but us as siblings. So Alhamdulillah for the trip and i would imagine when will the next be like huhuh
