Short Vacay: Part 2
Asallamualaikum! :*
sorry to make you wait for my second part. So shall I start?

22th :
The third day in Sabah, we went up to Kundasang. They said we should have started up on the top and come down to the city. Well, it was a last minute planning so it did really turn out to be last. lol. seeing dogs or pigs is normal around here (said mom) our way up the mountain, we dropped by somewhere to take pictures with scenery of Mount Kinabalu at the back. it was really really breathtaking. it's still more kilometers and we didnt really reached there yet. and oh, there were many churches, Saint Mary, Saint James, it was everywhere in the corner.
anyway, we went to the starting point to mount the Kinabalu Mountain. we were not going to hike up the peak because if we did we had to prepare earlier to watch the sun rise around 2 am at the gate. whatever it is if i really want to hike because i never went to any before. but i didnt even bring any gear with me :/ so yeah. if you want to hike, you should take a package. most them i saw, it's like for 2 days and 1 night.
my parents had already went to the peak for more than twice i think. well, that's fun. they were adventurous xD i really wish that i could go too. depends on my health too :')
anyway it was very cold over there. we were like i dunno just 500 km to the starting point after parking (i'll show you the map later, it was really interesting) and then we were driving up with car again. when we are really reached the starting point, there were checkpoint. above the check point there was like a tower to look over the scenery. it was breathtaking, MashaAllah. It was high enough.
there were 2 runners you can call it came back after mounting the Kinabalu Mountain. they actually could race up and down the mountain! Coooooollll ^^ they were from Sabah. but anyway, they were short because they are use to climbing bringing up some supplies maybe. after dropping by the starting point of where climbers climb, we stopped to pray and move up again. we planned to go the the Desa Dairy Farm but i guess it was too late for the day so we went to the lodge i had booked. I didnt know it was up some mountain and so deep in the village and we had to cross our car to the other side of the running water of the river but as far as i know it was kind of fun. it was full of 'nature'. there were like chicken farm, fish pond, and rabbits!!!!! they were sooo sooo cute and if you hand them the grasses they would come to you. well. running xD but except that they were in a cage, so.... they dont go biting on your hands.
we decided to go the hot spring 30 minutes before it was closed. that was close xD we didn't really end up doing nothing that day. the hot spring was so unique. the arrangement of the pool is divided into 4 and all of them got their own pipe to open the hot water from the hot spring and very cold water.
not to forget, i also read how hot spring was created but hey, you could always search about how it was from, i might not be good in remembering things so much. this was after my dad was asking me how did it form and i went running to the information board where it gave the information about springs. dont mind about people looking at you like idiot because you are learning :)
The sky was almost black pitch and we were back at the lodge. after praying jama' & qasar, we had a family dinner with instant noodles. omg! haha well, over here it's kind of hard to get halal food and even if we bought it, it's expensive. it's also because when you on top of mountain, the supplies are really limited. that's why it was expensive.
the owner of lodge actually gave us to use everything in the kitchen. it was fully stored with utensils. there was also dining tables. we did made it like our house. we were also looking back at the pictures that we took through the days in Sabah. I was also finishing my instant noodle and my lil brother already making his second one. when all of sudden .... there was a "thug" like someone switch off a running machine and bam! black out. in Sabah. wow! 2 minutes later the owner came to the kitchen with a bright flashlight to look at the main switch in the kitchen where he held up a long stick to open the case of the main box. lol. he said this was normal to happen since we are in the village and they were like the insiders, far from the city. the one that happened that night, it was from the power station so we really dont know what time the power will step back up. after we finished and cleaned up everything, we went back to our room with the only flashlight we were given and stayed in the room. 30 minutes later, we didnt even know the power was already on until i opened the room's door and spotlight outside was flashing on my face D: haha
23th :
We went to the hot spring again. this time, we are going to the canopy walk (\o/ yahoo!) it was me who wanted to go because my friend had suggested it so why not? after we paid the fee entrance, all of my family including my dad went in. we had to pay if we were bringing phone and camera to take pictures for RM5 *pftt i shouldn't had pay for because the workers were not even up on the canopy with us till the end to see if we were using any of devices* wasteful. we had to walk about 700 m up the hills to really reach the canopy walk where there was wooden bridges attached to a huge and old trees. it was a little pump up for since i haven't been working up HAHA. it was good that im not acrophobia or not, i cant see the views up there. i'm not sure how high it was but the trees was really old since it was tallllllllll and huggeeeee ( okay i dunno how many time i've told you this but you really need to go here if you love nature and a photographer. i am not really kind of nature lover but i do like it too. it's calm ;))
my mom and dad stopped 200 m before they could even reached for the stairs for the canopy walking. my dad were saying that he waited for mom but she kept on saying she couldn't make it and her energy were draining. i guess it's their age :/ so they waited until my sister, my lil brother and i finished. the canopy was going in zigzag and yeah, you will not be downcast by the views. when my sister, my lil brother and me reached the end of the canopy walk, we were led to a down by a stair. we had to walk again. this time i dunno how many meters away but it was until we saw a big tree again? i mean like biggest of all xD
don't forget to touch for the waterfall water. it's chilly, i climbed down a small bridge just to feel it. wait.. there was an idiom suited to this.... okay nevermind i forgot.

before leaving the campus, we also went to a place almost like a museum. there was many myths, facts and stories about the nature and plants in Sabah you could read. i read about a pitcher plant. There was also a model of the whole Sabah! it was cool. we waited to watch a-movie-like about Sabah and there you go, black out again. there was a ranger who apologized to us about the dismay and he asked if we had seen the Rafflesia flowers. he told us that he would like to lead us to the one that were still alive since this flowers wasn't really a plant but just a parasite. so yeah, we only saw two of them which wasn't that big and there always many that had died not long. the ranger told us it depends. really really depends because even if the Rafflesia wanted to bloom, it died :( beware of the smell X_X
in the afternoon, we went to the place i mentioned before, the Desa Dairy Farm where you can see cows and get milk. lol. well, from the entrance, after we paid (it's cheap trust me) there was barn 1, 2, and 3 i think there was one more xD it reminded me of the movie barnyard HAHA. the cows were like pretty :p okay this might sound crazy but they looked clean and they all were spotted black and white :)) huhu. anyway. the whole place of processing the milk or into cheese, was up the hill. after my dad parked the car, we went to ... you can call it the factory, the farm, the milking place anything you can think of cow-producing products (no slaughtering of course)
first, we went to the feeding place. a grass worth RM1 and the milk cost RM2. we bought each and we fed them! hehehe they were hungry as..cows! haha and oh! there was also goats. i don't really know the specific name of the goat but they got a long horns and they were hungry to. even you just bring the grass in front of their eyes, be grateful, there was a fence surrounding them or not they might ended jumping on you xD
my lil brother wasted RM5 to buy more grasses and milk. my dad was surprised. well, we had to fed them longer than we thought. going further, we went to the farm. over there we saw how each of the cows were divided into their own place of hut. we also saw there was a section at the back to brush the cows clean. lol it looks fun. then, it was time to buy some milk! the shops were in the building. other than to buy milks, there was also place to buy gelatin, waffle and hotdogs. we had to wait in a long line just to buy the milks because there wasn't enough workers. while waiting, we also bought the gelatin. there was chocolate flavors and gelatin-gelatin which is white colored. the gelatin-gelatin was tastier than the chocolate. my mom also bought soaps. i dunno if it was made from cow milk but whatever. it didn't work well on my skin. haih

before going out, i wanted to take all of the buildings view with me in the middle, so i told my sister to take it for me. she was backing up so much that she ended falling in the drain :( it wasn't my fault and i didn't even see it too D: but yeah my fault cause i should have taken a selfie or something. she ended up getting hurt and there was a bruise somewhere on her leg. I was screaming to her that i didnt do it and that i wasn't mad. when people asked about it then there i got mad. so yeah -.- before leaving Kundasang, we stopped at masjid (finally stopped at one) before Asr. my dad made us apologize to each other and yeah hug each other :') well we always do that because we are twins after all. we also stopped by a halal restaurant (finally, too!) at the back of it was a river. while waiting for our food, i looked at the river. my dad came over and asked how was the stone form around the river. my mind was saying as i speak, erosion. the right answer was agitation :) dad really miss his geology studies since he had studied there nearly 9 years. (glad of you, dad c:)
we were kind of having problem since we travelled without paper maps so it was all with GPS. even the GPS was so crazy, it felt like we were about to get lost in Sabah. haha anyway, our hotel that night was near the airport so we could catch our flight. there was nothing much to do that night except eating and packing. oh! if you go the flea market here, dont forget to try the chicken wings. it's juicy! ;)
24th :
it's time to go :( that last day we spent buying more local food to bring it home. i just bought a T-shirt with the map of Sabah on it. we also went to have lunch. i tried Sabah's fried bananas or goreng pisang . It was heayyy lot more tastier than from Malaysia. it cant be described as it is food :3 dunno if it was the flour or the banana itself. we bought it to eat during the waits before the flight. sad to say i spent almost 5 hours in the airports because my flight got delayed. i ate lava cake :3 food! -_-
around 3, i was already at home :)
sorry to make you wait for my second part. So shall I start?
